  9. This section is where you can place small ads. They can be on any subject
  10. that you like eg FOR SALE,  WANTED,  PERSONAL, MESSAGES, HINTS, TIPS ,USER 
  11. GROUPS etc.  The only rule is that adverts must be submitted before every 
  12. issue  of  STEN.  This is to rule out the possibility of  the  advertiser 
  13. dropping their service without telling us.

  15. The  adverts  will be largely uncensored but obscene language  and  piracy 
  16. will not be tolerated!

  61. When I got my PC it had 256k SIMMS installed. I've since upgraded to 4 Meg 
  62. and have 4 x 256K SIMMS for sale.

  64. These have had less than a weeks use and would be ideal for anyone wanting 
  65. to upgrade their 520 STE cheaply.

  98. I  have a growing collection of public domain discs (400+) and would  like 
  99. to share them with ST users everywhere. I have them all listed to disc and 
  100. on receipt of a blank disc and a stamped addressed envelope I will send  a 
  101. copy  to anyone who wants it.  Please bear in mind I am not a PD  library, 
  102. just an ST(E) user who wants to share his collection with everybody else. 
  103.  
  104. It is also a good way to obtain PD discs if your budget doesn't run to the 
  105. £2-£3  price that the mainstream PD libraries charge for  their  discs.  I 
  106. would also hope it would be a good way to obtain new friends and contacts.

  108. All  my discs are double sided so single sided ST owners are out  of  luck 
  109. I'm  afraid!  If  you own a singled sided drive get in touch  for  special 
  110. arrangements to be made, okay?

  112. I  will  also swap any of my discs for any interesting PD that  you  might 
  113. have in your own collections. More details when you get in touch.

  119.    1       For each of my discs you want,  send 2 blank discs. ie 
  120.            one  for  the disc of mine that you want and  one  for 
  121.            myself.  Also  include enough stamps to  cover  return 
  122.            postage.

  126.            provide  the disc then I charge 90p per disc for  each 
  127.            disc in my collection.  Please include return  postage

  177. ALTERNATIVES

  179. There are now a number of PD libraries around which are run by enthusiasts
  180. and provide users with software for next to nothing, and my service, 
  181. Network, is no differnt.  I currently have around 300 or so D/s disks 
  182. including  demos, games, utilities etc.. which are all fairly full with
  183. some of the best in PD.  I don't provide disks or sell the software, you 
  184. simply have to provide the disks and of course the return postage,  there
  185. is no charge in any way or form.  If you wish to include software on your 
  186. disks then please do so, after all it's the easiest way to help the
  187. library grow and to help others.
  188.  
  189. The return of software can take upto two weeks although this is due to the
  190. fact that I will  customise disks  for you if you wish, I can even archive
  191. programs for you and provide a suitable de-archiver and instructions.

  193. The only limit on my service is that you may only order a  maximum of TEN
  194. disks at any one time,  due to the fact that this is a free service run to
  195. reduce the amount of money you need to spend to acquire free software.
  196.

  198. touch. I am always happy to pass on what I know in  any way I can.  My 
  199. service is open to anyone including single sided drive owners, just let me
  200. know your set up and I'll do my best to accomadate you.

  220.      IMAGE ART is a PD library specialising in clip art,  fonts,  and  art 
  221. programmes for the ST,   although they are planning to expand into the  PC 
  222. and  Macintosh  worlds  very shortly.    What makes  them  different  from  
  223. other  libraries is that they will supply printouts of all pictures  on  a 
  224. clip art disc for £1.50.   This includes a 50p voucher redeemable  against 
  225. any future order.

  227.      The library is being added to continually and contains IMG clip  art, 
  228. GEM,  Calamus and Pagestream fonts,  plus selected art, picture conversion 
  229. and  utilities discs.   They also distribute specialist  commercial  prog-
  230. rammes  such  as printer drivers for the Integrex 132  and  Canon  PJ1080A 
  231. colour jet printers,  high-quality blanks for astrology charts,  and  even 
  232. "The General Equation of Physics Uniquely Specified Universe Model".

  234.      The latest catalogue is available for £1.50,  and PD discs cost £2.50 
  235. each,  with  reductions for larger orders.   All in all,  a very  well-run 
  236. library and one that we at STEN can recommend to anyone seriously involved 
  237. in DTP.
